Modulate replaced by Life Cried
We are sad to announce that Modulate will no longer be performing at this year's Triton Festival. The US Visa process is a very long and tedious process, and after a few delays in getting Modulate's Visa approved, they did finally get approved for their Visas, but they are not going to receive them in time for Triton. Good news is that since they are approved for a Visa for the next year, we will have them perform in NYC in the next few months, and everyone who keeps their Triton Saturday ticket will get reduced-price admission to their future NYC show. The rest of our international acts have indeed been approved for Visas and are confirmed to be at Triton.
To take Modulate's place we have: Life Cried!
From the grimey NJ industrial underground, Life Cried is becoming an international phenomenon. On Noitekk records, Life Cried recently headlined one of the nights at Kinetik Festival, their live show has entered a new level with the addition of live drums, and they have a new album coming out soon!

Triton Festival - 3 Weeks away!
Triton Festial is only 3 weeks away and we're READY! Flights and hotels are booked, we've got bands and attendees coming from all over the world, and it's looking like we may sell the place out!
We've also got some Triton Festival Interviews from bands playing at the festival:
Interview with VLRK of Grendel
One of the most anticipated bands to play at Triton Festival, this will be Grendel's first time in the US in over 7 years. Grendel's numerous club hits have put them at the top of the terror-ebm music genre, always evolving and improving their sound. Their cybernetic / futuristic themes give us images of the future of technology, and invite you to 'be part of the harsh generation and live by the bassline!'.
Interview with Tom Shear of Assemblage 23
Assemblage 23's music holds many great memories for us at VF, and they were actually the first band to be ever interviewed on the VampireFreaks site, back in 2001. One of the top industrial bands based in the US, Assemblage 23's music is both emotionally stimulating and danceworthy. Their newest album 'Bruise' shows Tom Shear's continued timelessness and ability to grace us with hot new industrial music anthems and dominate clubs worldwide.
Interview with Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist
A band that needs no introduction, Combichrist continues to dominate the industrial music scene, recently gaining a whole new fan base through their 'Devil May Cry' videogame soundtrack. Andy talks about Icon of Coil, his love of hot rods, and the reaction to the 'Devil May Cry' soundtrack. Combichrist will be headlining the Saturday night at Triton Festival, featuring Andy LaPlegua and the full band.
Interview with Faderhead
Faderhead continues to bring us a barrage of club hits, along with sickly polished music videos. Refusing to stick to one sound, Faderhead pushes the boundaries of music genres, yet always giving us floor stompers, as can be evidenced by his newest creation, "FH4". Also known for his internet presence, Faderhead has become a master of social media. Faderhead's live shows are always super high energy and attract tons of fans, we're excited to have the band perform on the Friday date at Triton Festival. Also catch them on their upcoming North American tour!

Last 4 Bands Announced!
The Birthday Massacre
[Toronto, Canada :: Metropolis Records]
Voted 'Favorite Band' by the members of VampireFreaks, The Birthday Massacre has had a huge following on the VampireFreaks site (and worldwide) for years now. The band was formed in 1999 and independently produced and recorded their first two albums, Nothing and Nowhere and Violet. Due to their independent success, in 2005 they were approached and signed by Metropolis Records and the band began its steady climb to reaching a much wider audience, and now has a total of 5 studio albums. In the last few years, the band has been performing internationally, traveling extensively across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Australia, the U.K. and Europe.
London After Midnight
[Los Angeles :: Metropolis Records, Trisol]
London After Midnight was formed in the 1990s by Sean Brennan. Unlike most music projects, LAM has retained and nurtured the progressive political and socially aware element of the later punk scene that virtually vanished from the music scene in the early 90s. London After Midnight has headlined and co-headlined concerts and major festivals around the world to crowd of over 30,000 people with bands like The Cure, Green Day, HIM, and countless other major artists. Each of London After Midnight's releases have charted in the top 10 and top 20 of the European DAC and alternative charts. This will be LAM's first NYC performance in over 5 years.
[United Kingdom :: Metropolis Records, Infacted Records]
Modulate have supported Alec Empire, VNV Nation and Combichrist on major international tours as well as numerous national and international festival appearances, headline tours and shows around the world. After scoring dancefloor success with his own material, Skullfuck, Detonation and Robots releases, Modulate has become one of the hottest remixers in the alternative electro scene. The bands most recent release, Robots, gave them their biggest hit yet, peaking at #3 in the German Alternative Chart, giving them their first magazine cover and receiving rave reviews across the media...stamping their way into many journalists and broadcasters Best Of 2012 charts.
[New York City]
First taking the stage in 2011, Candy Brain has blended inspiration from synth pop, industrial rock, and various video game soundtracks to deliver a hard hitting, yet melodic experience with lyrical concepts of love, irony, and comic books. Having shared the stage with acts such as BILE, Orgy, Davey Suicide, and Vampire Everywhere, Candy Brain has developed a continuously growing cult following, and ravages the stage with presence and energy.

[Netherlands / UK :: Infacted, Metropolis]
Grendel was born in 1997 by frontman VLRK. It was in 2003 with the release of Prescription: Medicine that Grendel achieved true notoriety when their album enjoyed the top spot in many of the underground charts. In 2007 the release of Harsh Generation hailed a more of a mature sound for Grendel and was followed by a very extensive world tour. Grendel continue to push themselves and their sound and in 2012 released their latest album Timewave Zero, an album which again heralded a new era in the Grendel sound. We've had a ton of requests for Grendel and they're flying in for a very special and rare US performance.
[Germany :: L-tracks]
""Faderhead sounds like The Incredible Hulk is having sex with Paris Hilton!"
It's 2013 and Faderhead's electronic music assault is in full swing. One EP, five highly acclaimed albums and two compilations in 6 years - as well as 4 massive worldwide clubhits with "Dirtygrrrls/Dirtybois", "TZDV", "Destroy Improve Rebuild" and "Fistful Of Fuck You" - have moved the project from Hamburg/Germany into the limelight of the harder electro scene. From stompy techno to synthpop to dirty groove-laden electro: Faderhead mashes it all up like no one else!
[Orlando, FL :: Metropolis Records]
Described as harsh industrial music highlighting the dark aspects of the human experience as well as the depths to which mans mind can deteriorate. Ludovico Technique continues to build momentum, their name stems from the drug-assisted aversion therapy found in the novel and film "A Clockwork Orange", in which the patient is forced to view violent imagery while injected with experimental medication in an attempt to condition the subject's behavior.
[Philadelphia :: Beyond Therapy Records]
Combining elements of Industrial, screamo, and Aggro EBM, MyParasites evolved into a mechanical blending of pure withdrawn emotion, along side a parasitic sound that is unlike any other. With lyrics concerning trust, lies, infidelity, sex, and deceit, MyParasites brings a new sincere evaluation and opinion of life's surroundings that many can relate to. Utilizing a disarray of electronics, samplers, synthesizers, guitars, electronic drums, and angle grinders, MyParasites assaults the stage with a terrifying, yet awe-inspiring live performance.

[Florida :: Wishfire Records, Dancing Ferret]
Originally formed in 1992, The Cruxshadows have consistently delivered their positive message through the portal of synth pop hooks and dark electronics to a massive international fan base of followers. The Cruxshadows have formulated their success out of old fashioned hard work. They have logged an impressive one thousand plus performances in over thirty countries. The Cruxshadows have also managed to reach the top 10 billboard singles charts on numerous occasions, which is a feat unheard of in the gothic/industrial scene. As one of the most requested bands for Triton Festival, this will be their first NYC performance since 2008.
[Austria :: Trisol, Cop Int]
Since 2007, Thomas Rainer has been carving out his own path with the industrial world power NACHTMAHR. Uncompromising, without regard to casualties and continually in one direction – forward. With four albums and four EPs to date, along with countless live battles all over the world, he has cemented his unshakeable reputation as dance dictator. You’re either with him or against him. There is no middle ground. Thomas Rainer’s fourth offensive, ‘Veni Vidi Vici’, conjures up a new era. With this album, the exceptional Austrian artist has succeeded in creating a retaliatory strike of inexorable force; a declaration of beat-driven dominance.
[Seattle :: Metropolis Records, Out Of Line]
God Module combines elements of harsh Techno, Darkwave, Goth and Industrial. Pounding beats mix with hypnotic synth hooks, deranged film samples and psychotically-effected vocals to make up a sound that is as disturbing as it is danceable. God Mod founder and mastermind Jasyn Bangert has brought his childhood dreams to life as musical nightmares. God Module take all the common Electro - Gothic - Industrial cliches and systematically tear them apart. They are unnaturally stitched back together again to create a constantly mutating soundtrack to the most fucked up horror film you will never see...your life!
[Ft. Lauderdale, Florida :: Somatic Recordings]
Deadstar Assembly is a troupe of musical avant-gardes that deliver a sinister sound that burns. Like demented seraphim, DSA's poisonous blend of death-pop industrial metal will set the world ablaze with no apologies. After spending the last year holed up in the studio putting the finishing touches on their upcoming fourth album, Adorned In Thorns, sunny South Florida's darkside is once again ready to unleash their musical delirium to the masses as they return to the stage at Triton 2013.

[New York City :: Cop International / Noitekk]
Formed in 2004, FGFC820 is the harsh EBM project from well-known and respected New York City DJs, Rexx Arkana and Dracos. Drawing on joint and separate influences ranging from old school industrial to modern gabber, Arkana and Dracos combine to create a sound that is at once melodic and relentlessly rhythmic, "bringing the 'thump' back to EBM", as one reviewer put it. FGFC820 is the most popular and established industrial band in the NYC area, they put on a killer performance and we are proud to have them return to Triton Festival for a 2nd time in a row!
[Seattle :: Alfa Matrix]
Years of classical music training, a love for computers and technology, a tough-as-nails resolve, a fierce independent streak, and the compulsion to find catharsis through music led Erica Dunham to eventually form Unter Null at the age of 17. Combining power noise, terror-ebm and industrial in a scene dominated by male musicians, Unter Null's raw talent and aggression shine through and are not to be underestimated.
Dawn of Ashes
[Hollywood :: Metropolis Records]
In the darkest form of incubated evil, a symbol has been born that strikes immense shock and fear into the hearts of mortal weakness. Kristof Bathory is the icon which has created a new era where nightmares become reality, and where the sounds of the macabre shall emerge from a catastrophic symphony. Dawn of Ashes celebrates its new album "Anathema", releasd on April 9th 2013, melting the boundaries between metal and industrial music.
[Baltimore :: Metropolis Records]
Ego Likeness has been brutalizing the world with their atmospheric electronic rock for almost 15 years. Like a modern day siren, Donna Lynch's vocals draw you into the fury and fire of their beautiful noise. Taking their name from Frank Herbert's classic science fiction novel 'Dune', the band began as an experimental/ dark trip hop project, and later progressed to a darker electronic / dance / darkwave direction. Their sound has made them a favorite among the goth community, getting critical acclaim and a growing fanbase. The group's fifth full length album titled Know Thine Enemy is tentatively scheduled to be released early 2013 through Metropolis Records.
